GloFish
Here's a cool new item: a genetically-engineered fluorescent fish!
Believe it or not, scientists created this special breed of zebra fish as part of a research project to make a fish that will flouresce in the presence of environmental toxins. They aren't quite there yet, but in the meantime, alert marketing folks have been hawking them as aquarium fish. Find out more at http://www.glofish.com.
Unfortunately, the California Fish and Game Commision has not yet approved the fish here, so don't try to send me one for my birthday.
