Sophie's Volleyball Tournament 

Sophie and Caroline celebrate winning a point during last Saturday's tournament. Their team almost won their first game in this their third tournament.

Little League Season Underway 

Thomas is on the Scripps Ranch Little League Minors AA Padres this year. They have had a rough first two games, but Thomas has been playing well. His pitching has really improved. Here are some photos:

Your TV will go black Feb 17, 2009 

How many people out there realize that current analog televisions will cease to work on February 17, 2009? That is the date that the United States is supposed to switch to exclusively digital TV broadcasts. Part of the plan is to offer government subsidized converter boxes to every household that does not have a digital TV. This could cost up to $1B! At least we have our priorities straight....

Representative John Dingell made news by suggesting that the DTV transition could be delayed.
