Thomas Playing Baseball

The Music Man
Sophie performed in the MET2 production of The Music Man this weekend. It was a very professional show. Below is a picture of Sophie in her costume. You can also see the photographer's pictures at Nancy's Portraits; two good ones of Sophie are this and this.
Dad made a dessert for the VIP Reception before the Saturday night show. Despite Thomas giving him only a 5% chance of winning, he did win first place. The winnning recipe is here: Alsatian Cranapple Tart.

Opening Day

Mavericks Surf Contest 2005
The latest installment of the Mavericks Surf Contest was last week. This is the contest where they wait for a day when the surf is going to be 20-30 feet and then give all the contestants 24 hours to get to Half Moon Bay. It was an insane 30+ foot day! There is even a video clip here.
